Schools & Councils
There is a proven link between crime and illiteracy… * Home Office figures state that in any one year, 130,000 people are, or have been in prison. Around 50% of these individuals have poor reading skills and 81% of all prisoners have writing skills below level 1. Experienced in working with troubled adults, I felt that educational support had to be offered to the children/young adults who wanted more out of life. I set up Divine Cross Over - a registered charity which helps literacy and numerical skills for those children/young adults, who are struggling within the educational system Part of our process is the organisation of projects which are educational and fun. Participation in these programmes can help: * Develop juniors/young adults social and literary skills * Inspire them to be optimistic about a bright and exciting future * Offer opportunities for full potential and talent to be achieved * Improve their confidence, self-esteem and self-image We are aware that support is imperative for successful programmes. We therefore aim to develop strong links between parents, schools and other agencies. By working together we can achieve more.
